# Valuation and comparables

Enter company valuation and context to help explain equity. This data can enable ownership display and provide helpful context in candidate views.

## Add valuation

    Enable “Show Company Valuation in Offers” if you want to display valuation and ownership.

  <Step title="Enter valuation and shares">
    Add current valuation (USD) and Outstanding Shares to calculate ownership.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Enable comparable companies (optional)">
    Maintain a list of comparable companies with stage, valuation, date, and comments. Add private notes for your team and public comments for candidates.
